Our cake designer, Mary, has over 30 years experience in the trade.
She obtained her City & Guilds with a distinction and was awarded The Gilbert Bakeries Trophy for Excellence In Cake Decoration. Her artwork on cakes has led to many commissioned paintings, in this country and abroad. She was a runner-up in the art competition run by the Daily Mail, ‘Not The Turner Prize’, to promote ‘real art’. Andrew Lloyd Weber, Ronnie Woods and Brian Sewell were on the panel of judges who selected her painting (out of 10,000 entries) to be hung in the ‘Mall Galleries’ in London.
